At last the big day is here. In 1½ hours from now I am taking my 'driving test' in my electric wheelchair.
It's a condition in our locsal NHS Trust that if they provide you weith a wheelchair you ha ve to take a course of instruction followed by a test to show you are competent to drive the thing. You would think I was taking a CAR test, I feel so nervous. I'll be backlater to tell you how I got on.
Wish me luck,

Good luck with the test, dear. I know you'll do well. I think the test is actually a good idea. I'm not sure what type of wheelchair you're using, but if it's anything like my wife's it's quite heavy; if you get into a collision with one, the wheelchair wins.
The main thing is to take it slow. We can always tell here when my son had the task of bringing my wife's chair over to the plug to be charged for the night, because in the morning we find the speed control is turned way up!

GO GIRL!!!!!!!!!!! SURE YOU'LL DO FINE!!!!
I do wish you luck. I'm sure you'll do just fine. I had to use one of those things in the grocery store once when I'd broke my foot and if I can do it I'm sure you'll have no problems. What a joy it will be for you to have one! Let us know how you do!
Good Luck!!
