Sometimes I just wish and wish that I had a bigger house and two legs that could be relied on to keep up! Keith's 65th birthday and retirement at the end of October will be here in no time. Sorry to those of you who thought we were going to have summer first! He will finish work on 23rd October - our 38th wedding anniversary - and on the Sunday will be a lunch for immediate family. I've booked a big table at a local hostelry (there will only be 15 of us)but it will be just a basic Sunday lunch, the attraction being that nobody has to work for it. Nobody has to do the dishes!

Oh but how I wish I could do it myself, with the best china, the best glassware, a table to be proud of and food to die for. I even had to ask someone else to do his cake. Now I know it will be special - a designer cake if ever there was one because the lady is an expert - but I will never have the chance to do Keith's special cake again.

Oh listen to me, whinging on! I know I must accept my limitations, and I do usually, but in this case it's just getting to me a bit.

OH NO - I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT BELIEVE THIS. I'VE JUST SPENT ABOUT 3 HOURS WRITING THE REST OF THIS POSTING, TRIED TO UPLOAD SOME PICTURES AND - WHAM - IT'S GONE! EVERYTHING I'VE WORKED AT TONIGHT HAS DISAPPEARED INTO THE ETHER. WHAT ON EARTH IS GOING ON?

Not only can I not sign off with my little mouse but I can't bring you any photos nor even a decent post. Excuse me whle I go have myself committed.

love, Angie, xxx

That same thing happened to me earlier! It sucked! But I am just grateful at the moment to have something to blog on, even though it's old, it works for now!

Ahhh Angie. ((((HUGS)))) I hate it when this happens. I especially hate it when my post publishes before I am finished it, which has happened to me on several occasions. I wish I lived closer so that I could help you to do this special thing for Keith. It would be so much fun. It sucks sometimes to live so far away from a friend. xxoo

It happens to us all but thankfully I do write mine up ahead of time and copy and paste in to my blog. I hate the time it takes to do it over but after having had that happen I got smart and do it this way.

Angie I know well that feeling. Although I have none of your disabilities I do have the problem of not being able to do what I did when I was younger and I try not to let it get me down. At least we are still here I say! Don't let it get you down, just enjoy and let the good times roll. It will be a super party! And you won't have to do dishes!!! 'On Ya'-ma

Sometimes Blogger just has a mind of it's own...and sometimes I just think it's mean! It's natural I think to mourn for things we've lost even when they're things we used to be able to do. It's trite I guess but try to focus on what you can do - you could and did make all the plans for his retirement party. You could and did make sure that he would have a fabulous cake. You can and will celebrate the day with him and love him. That's the best part. blessings, marlene
